About US

Our story begins when Kelly Bradley was young. One of his favorite things was when his parents would bring him to Green Bay from Marinette and he was able to visit one of their favorite chili joints. When he moved to Atlanta for the summer, before going off to college, he desperately missed his favorite chili. At that point Kelly’s father Red Bradley, a famous supper club owner, came up with a chili recipe that Kelly could make on his own while away.

Kelly met up with Scott Johnson in college where they became great friends and mutual chili fans. They continued to tweak the recipe and after winning a few chili contests and building quite the fan base among family and friends the legend grew. The chili was given the nickname “Red Death” after Kelly’s father, who in his retirement cooked on the ships made at Marinette Marine. Known for his spicy food, he was given the nickname.

A few years ago when Scott inherited some money they decided to turn pro. With the help from a good friend, Dave Earle (owner of Cranky Pat’s) who found them their truck and set
them up with kitchen space to make their chili.

The former Kangaroostaurant food truck was transformed into Savage Henry’s Legendary Chili Wagon.
